What's new!
Happy Birthday to Scott! We spent a great weekend biking at Northstar (Lake Tahoe). I have to say it is maybe the prettiest place I have been to in the U.S. Scott and I are preparing for our return to Florida, and as scheduled, Scott will have his knee surgery on Nov. 13th. And after that we plan to be sealed. It has been a very hectic year to say the least. We would of prefered a sealing sooner but there is just not enough time to plan, prepare for a reception. All that aside, we are doing very well. Love Denise and Scott

Hiking a slot canyon in Utah
On the trip out we hiked a slot canyon in southern utah called Little Wild Horse Canyon (AKA stinky deer canyon, cuz we had to step over a dead deer at one point in the canyon). It took about 4 hours and was very cool. Here is what it looked like:

kayaking on the trip out
on the trip out we did a little kayaking in NC. It was Denise's first time whitewater kayaking but it turned out that she rocks! We started out with a little instruction at a lake, and then went to the Nantahala River. We did class II and III rapids pretty much the whole time. The first picture is a rapid called the "wave". I actually wasn't that keen on going straight through the middle but Denise was all over it so i went too. The second picture is her "claiming".
We will be trying to get our kayak on here in Cali soon.

Where's the adventure?

ya, well we havent had much time to post anything so you might get it peacemeal. Last weekend me and my buddy rode the Flume Trail in Lake Tahoe. This is what it looks like- 4 miles of singletrack with a wall on one side and a 1000 foot drop on the other. Not hard to ride as long as you only look at the trail immediately in front of you. Like they say, you go where you look.
What the photo doesnt show is the 4 mile climb to get up to the trail. It was brutal! I only stopped when I really thought i was going to puke. Was it worth it? what do you think??!?!??!
